📥 Installation Guide

Follow all steps carefully to install Fairy 2.0 correctly.

🔹 STEP 1 – Official Game Installation

If you do not already have Final Fantasy XI installed, you must first download and install the official client.

Download Installer Final Fantasy XI

If the game is already installed, you can skip this step.

🔹 STEP 2 – Updated Fairy 2.0 Client (HD Maps Included)

If your game is not already updated, download the pre-updated client prepared for the server.

Dowload update client version

The client includes:

  • ✅ Fully updated files

  • ✅ Integrated HD Map Mods

📂 Client Installation

  1. Extract the downloaded folder.

  2. Copy the PlayOnline folder.

  3. Paste it into your existing game installation directory.

  4. Allow file overwrite when prompted.

⚠️ If the game does not start

  1. Open PlayOnline Viewer

  2. Select Check Files

  3. Choose Final Fantasy XI from the dropdown menu

  4. Start the file check and wait until it finishes

  5. Close PlayOnline Viewer even if it reports errors

❗ Do NOT fix the errors — they are related to the HD Map mods.

After that, launch the game using the launcher.

🔹 STEP 3 – Fairy 2.0 Launcher

Download the official server launcher.

🛡️ Antivirus Notice (Important)

If the launcher or game:

  • Does not start

  • Closes immediately

  • Gets blocked

Your antivirus may be the cause.

✅ Solution

Add the entire Fairy 2.0 folder to your antivirus exclusions, for example:

 
C:\Fairy2.0\
 

⚠️ Important: add the full folder, not only the .exe file.

Restart the launcher after adding the exclusion.
